HIGHER EDUCATION
We serve as outside counsel to colleges and universities to provide legal guidance and risk mitigation strategies for responding to reports of harm on campus and subject-matter expertise on questions of criminal law. As founding members of the Title IX Working Group, we are leaders in the Title IX space. We advise institutions on regulatory compliance, conduct trauma-sensitive investigations and serve as advisors to complainants and respondents in Title IX proceedings.

Provided subject-matter expertise on questions of criminal law and procedure to the General Counsel’s Office of large university
Advised General Counsel of mid-sized university responding to claim it mishandled response to student-on-student sexual misconduct claim
Conducted investigation after digital device containing suspected child sexual abuse material discovered on campus and guided university response, including liaising with law enforcement
Advised educational institution on Title IX regulatory compliance and conducted training for staff
